Marquette Sports All Weekend Long with Boys and Girls Basketball and the Marquette Showcase for Hockey

Marquette, MI  –  December 14, 2018  –  It’s another jam packed Marquette Sports weekend! There are three different Marquette Senior High School Sports teams playing games tonight and tomorrow and we’ll be broadcasting every single game so you can hear what’s happening, no matter where you are!

Starting things off with some Boys Basketball, the Marquette Redmen are on their way down to Traverse City this afternoon for a 5:30pm game against Traverse City Central. Jacob Ogea will be down in Traverse City for the full weekend to bring you all of the Marquette Basketball action. He’ll start things off with a 5:00pm Pre-Game Show to introduce the Traverse City Central Trojans. Last year, the Marquette Boys Basketball Team came away with a close victory over the Trojans, winning 38-36. Join us on Fox Sports Marquette 105.1 & 99.9 to cheer our boys on and wish them the same luck this year!

Following the boys, the Marquette Redettes will play their game against Traverse City Central at 7:00pm. During this weekend trip last year, the Marquette Redettes swept, winning both their Friday game against the Trojans and their Saturday game against the Traverse City West Titans. Jacob will have your full broadcast for game two of the night right here on Fox Sports Marquette 105.1 & 99.9!

Finally, back here in Marquette, the Redmen Hockey Team has the annual Marquette Showcase, a weekend of hockey right here in Marquette. The Redmen start things off with a 8:00pm game against the West Ottawa Panthers. John Thomsen will have the play-by-play action on our sister station, GTO 97.5.

Tomorrow the whole thing starts over with game two for each team:

• The Marquette Redettes Girls Basketball team will start things off for us on Saturday afternoon.  Jacob will be back on Fox Sports Marquette 105.1 & 99.9 for the 1:30pm broadcast of the Marquette Redettes game against the Traverse City West Titans. Facing the team last year, the Redettes were victorious 56-25!
• The Marquette Redmen Boys Basketball team will follow with their game against Traverse City West. Another close game for the team last year, the Redmen sadly fell to the Titans, 60-69. Tune in to cheer them on and wish them better luck this season! Tip off and the full game broadcast starts at 3:00pm.
• Also starting their second game of the weekend at 3:00pm, the Marquette Redmen Varsity Hockey team will take the ice against the Bay Area Reps. Unlike Marquette’s game against Ottawa, the Redmen did face the Bay Area Reps last year, picking up a big win, 5-2. John will be back on GTO 97.5 for that game as well.
