Gwinn, Michigan– 12/14/15– The Gwinn ModelTowner Girls basketball took on the Houghton Gremlins this night. This game was definitely a good one with fast paced action and a lot of spirit. The ModelTowners and the Gremlins fought throughout the game and left the win open for grabs all the way up until the last thirty seconds of the game!
The first quarter began with instant action from the Gwinn girls as they
kept a lead for a short while. The Gremlins started to catch up towards the end of the first quarter and made the score 9-15 with the Gremlins leading the ModelTowners. The second quarter was back and forth with scoring between the two teams ending with a score of 22,23 as the ModelTowners trailed by one point.
The second half of the game was just as good as the first half. It was anyone’s game all throughout. Third quarter action showed some fight from the ModelTowners to gain some points. It ended with a score of 36-40 with the Gremlins in the lead. The fourth quarter kept everyone cheering for their team as they kept right up with one another until the end. The Gremlins took the win against the ModelTowners with a final score of 51-56.
Unfortunately the Modeltowners come up short 51,56 against the gremlins but they fought a great game! Hopefully, if those girls keep fighting like this, they will be taking the wins! GO MODELTOWNERS!
