
First Half: The game started off relatively slow, but St. Ignace was able to get on the board first with a shot by Hallie Marshall. Marshall would continue to dominate the game putting up all of the Saint’s points until Tabby Shepard put up an extra two. Marquette would eventually score with 1:13 left in the first quarter by Averie Kelly gaining three for the Redettes ending the quarter, 11-3 in favor of St. Ignace.

Marquette was unable to shut down Marshall once again as she put another score on the board for the Saints. Ally Schultz would get in on the action and lay up another bucket for St. Ignace bringing the score to 15-3. Kaleah Puskala would try to ignite a spark for the Redettes taking the ball coast-to-coast for the score and the foul. It would prove for nothing as St. Ignace would put up five quick points, bringing the score to 20-5. Fouls and turnovers would plague both teams as both teams had chances on the free-throw line. Maria Millado would get in the scoring column with a short range shot, but Hallie Marshall would close out the half with a score of her own.

Halftime: St. Ignace 25, Marquette 12
Second Half: St. Ignace came out of the half strong with Ally Schultz opening things up with a 3-pointer. It was followed up by an athletic behind-the-back lay up by Paula Jimenez bringing the score to, 30-12. Redette Averie Kelly would fire back with a long-range two, and able to tack another two points on the board on Marquette’s next possession. Marquette would go on a small run with Averie Kelly, Rayna Warchock, and Brooklyn Michelin all racking up two pointers for the Redettes. The Saints however would take over this quarter and continue to build up their sizeable lead. The third quarter would come to an end with St. Ignace on top, 49-27.

The fourth and final quarter started with senior Emmalee Hart for St. Ignace adding on to the Saint lead. Arimae Holder would put up a long-range two off the dish from Brooklyn Michelin bringing the score to 53-29 in favor of the Saints. The Marquette Redettes would never really get back into this game with a slew of turnovers and fouls closing things out.
Final: St. Ignace 63, Marquette 40
