Marquette, MI – December 16, 2022 – Marquette Redmen go to battle on the ice against Orchard Lake-St.Marys live on Foxsports 105.1-99.9!
1st Period: St.Mary’s would win the draw. Marquette would get called for icing. There would be another icing but would be called off. St.Mary’s had won three straight face offs. The Redmen would win the fourth one. Marquette would shoot but blocked by St.Mary. The Redmen had an opportunity but would over skate the puck. St.Mary would take another shot but would be deflected. St.Mary would get called for another icing call. St.Mary’s would then get called for an off sides. The Redmen would get called for icing. St.Mary would win the face off and shot immediately but would be to high, hitting off the cross bar. Then St.Mary would get another call for icing. Marquette would miss two open shots. The first penalty of the game would go to St.Mary’s for roughing. The Redmen would end the first period out shooting St.Marys.

2nd Period: Marquette would win the face off to start the period. Marquette would win another face off after another a Marquette penalty call. Marquette would strike first and score for the first time in the game off a great rebound. Marquette would get another shot off seconds later but would miss. Marquette would get called for a hand pass so the puck would go all the way back in Redmen territory. St.Marys would take advantage and would score off Marquette’s penalty. St.Mary’s would get called for tripping. Marquette would start their power play. The Redmen would comeback down score for the second time of the period. Marquette would steal the puck immediately and get a shot off but would miss wide. The Redmen would go into another power play. St.Marys would make a shot from the blue line and would tie the game up. St.Marys would get called for misconduct and 2 players would be sitting in the box. St.Marys would out shoot the Redmen in the period.

3rd Period: The Redmen would win the face off to start the period. Marquette would get the puck stolen after attempting a hard pass. The Redmen would take the first shot attempt of the period but would miss and the puck would be cleared immediately. Marquette would win another face off. Marquette would take another shot and miss. St.Marys would take a shot but miss and Marquette would clear the puck. Marquette would get their chance of scoring again off a rebound but would miss. Marquette would get called for an off sides. St.Marys would get a great shot off but the Redmen would get an even better save. Marquette would drive to the net but then St.Marys would make a great save. With seconds left Marquette would play for overtime.

Overtime: Marquette would win the face off to start overtime and would start with big shot but St.Marys would get a big save. St.Marys would get a big shot off as well but then the Redmen would get a big save. St.Marys would win the face off with a 1:45 left . Marquette would win the next face off and the Redmen would try to clear the puck. The Redmen would miss their last shot to win in overtime and the game would end in a draw.
