Marquette, MI – 10/10/17 – Marquette Senior High School Athletic Director Alex Tiseo stopped by this morning to talk about the exciting events coming up for Marquette. This Friday the Marquette Redmen football team will travel to Negaunee for a battle for the Diamond Jubilee Trophy. Both teams come in with playoff hopes alive, the loser will be kicked out. There is also a Great Northern Conference Volleyball Tournament this weekend at Marquette. Marquette will also host a public tailgate next Friday when the Menominee Maroons visit Marquette Senior High School. Tune in to Fox Sports Marquette 105.1 and 99.9 for event updates.
The MLB Postseason has been full of excitement and drama as two teams advanced to the championship series yesterday. The Houston Astros closed out the Boston Red Sox at Fenway 5-4 to advance to the ALCS. The Astros await the winner of the New York Yankees and Cleveland Indians series. The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks 3-1 to sweep the series and await the winner of the Cubs and Nationals.
An NFC North battle took place last night between the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears. The Vikings proved to be a tough match-up with a two quarterback system and a strong defense to come out with a 20-17 victory. The Bears started rookie quarterback Mitchell Trubisky who went 12-25 for 128 yards and a touchdown.
