Marquette Redettes knocked off by Saginaw Heritage 57-24

Gaylord, MI – March 6th, 2018 – The Marquette Redettes Girls High School Basketball team took on the Saginaw Heritage this evening in Gaylord and was knocked out of the season suffering a severe loss with a final score of 57-24.

This night in Gaylord was not for the Marquette Redettes as they took on a top ranked 22-1 Saginaw Heritage and suffered a crushing defeat at their hands and ended the Redettes basketball season. Saginaw put in the first score and then proceeded to an 11-0 run against Marquette, with the Redettes making only one field goal the entirety of the first frame. The remainder of the game was not kind as the Heritage showed an overwhelming dominance on the court with unanswered baskets, forcing turnovers and making crucial rebounds on the Redettes.

It was unfortunate for Marquette they could not find a niche against this seldom played Heritage team who they have met twice before and taken losses to, now 0-3. The game ended with a final score of 57-24 Saginaw Heritage.

The Marquette Redmen Boys team is next up as they head to Gaylord for their shot as moving foward in the season. Join Jacob Ogea on 105.1-99.9 FoxSportsMarquette for all the action and streaming online at Tip-off is at 6:00PM, and pregame starts shortly before that.
