Escanaba Eskymos defeat Marquette Redettes in Marquette 65-48
First Quarter: Escanaba won the tip off giving the ball back to Marquette and Brooke Logan puts a three pointer on the board for the first points of the season. Marquette took a 7-4 lead over the Eskymos early in the game the first points of the was a three pointer from Brooke Logan. A lot of fouls in the first quarter against both teams were holding back scoring opportunities. Kiera Maki was putting in a big effort to put points on the board for the Eskymos. The Marquette Redettes were able to power ahead of the Eskymos finishing the first quarter 16-15
Second quarter opened up with a steal from SienaLingle and the scoring opportunity was stopped by a foul. After a foul on the Redettes, Negaunee put the first points on the board of the second with two successful free throws. A nice 3 point from Saylor Henderson tied the game for the Eskymos with 4 minutes left to go . Marquette tried to take the ball back down the court and take the lead but turned over the ball to Escanaba.Siena lingle came up with a big steal took it down court and put two points on the scoreboard with a lay up. The Eskymos offense went on a big run taking us late into the second quarter. ink had 11 points in the half helping Eskymos take a 35-24 lead at the end of the second.

Third quarter: The Marquette Redettes look to shrink the Eskymos lead as the third quarter starts but cannot get any shots to go. The Eskymos scored four points in the early minutes of the third giving eskymos a sixteen point lead over the Redettes. Julia Ott gave Marquette its first points of the half with a nice lay up. brozo sinks a three pointer as the final seconds on the clock3ed ticked away, helping shrink the lead of the Eskymos.
Fourth quarter: The Marquette Redettes look to continue their offensive efforts that they got going in the third. Kiera maike drained her second three of the night giving her 14 points on the night and extending the Eskymos lead. Marquette is trailing by twelve points coming back from the timeout with 4 minutes left as they look to make a comeback. Julia Ott was able to put a few on the board shortening the lead for the Eskymos to only 11 points headed into the final few minutes of the fourth. The Escanaba Eskymos leads by fifteen points with a minute left in the game as they look to run the clock out. Siena lingle took the ball down court late in the game to put some final points on the board for Marquette.
