Marquette, MI – March 7, 2018 – The puck drops a week from today at the 35th Annual Pigs-N-Heat Fire Relief Fund Charity Hockey Game. The fund is set up to help those who have suffered a house fire, become displaced, and are waiting on their insurance to kick in. The fund helps a person or family by providing a hotel room, getting toiletries, and helping begin the process of putting their lives back together.
This 35-year old tradition pins the Marquette City Police and Marquette City Fire Department against each other in a game of Ice Hockey. It’s a friendly hockey game that features a great family atmosphere for all ages. There are often food trucks, door prizes, awards, games, and an auction adding to fun night.
With the Pigs coming over victorious three years in a row, the “burning” question is will The Heat pick up a win and break the Pigs’ winning streak! Admission tickets are just $1.00 and on sale at the Marquette City Police Department and the Marquette City Fire Department with more locations to come. Swing by and pick up your tickets and attend this long-standing community tradition.
