
Marquette, MI – The Red Wings will return home tonight to take on the St.Louis Blues. This will be the first game back at the Joe for the wings since the death of the late owner Mike Illitch. Their will be pregame ceremonies for Mr.I tonight. The Red Wings are currently 7 points back of the last playoff spot with 26 games remaining. The puck drops at 8 pm tonight.
The inconsistent Detroit Pistons will host the Dallas Mavericks tonight, Detroit is coming off a loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday, a game in which the Pistons only mustered up 34 first half points. The Mavericks are coming off a victory over the Boston Celtics. The Pistons will be shooting for their first series season sweep of the Mavericks since the 1997-98 season. Tip-off will be at 7:30 pm at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
Michigan State Basketball picked up a big win last night over the Ohio State Buckeyes 74-66. The Spartans were led by Alvin Ellis who had a total of 18 points followed up by Miles Bridges who had 17 points and 11 rebounds. The win puts the Spartans at 16-10 on the season and also continuing to climb the standings in the Big Ten.
