Tigers Win Second In A Row, Lebron Grabs Beer and Blaise Zimmer

Marquette, MI – Tyler Collins hit a three run homer while Daniel Norris shut the door on the Cleveland Indians as the Tigers came out with a victory 7-1 on Monday night. Detroit’s Nick Castellanos and Victor Martinez also added timely hits each adding an RBI to their stat sheet. Alex Wilson and Anibal Sanchez combined for three inning of scoreless baseball in relief as the Tigers won their second straight game. Today the Tigers continue their series with Cleveland sending Justin Verlander to the bump to face Corey Kluber, game time is at 7:10 pm.

Lebron James dropped 35 points and grabbed a beer as the Cleveland Cavilers defeated the Toronto Raptors in game one of the Eastern Conference Semifinal 116-105. The Cavs were led by James and Kyrie Irving who added 24 points. Kyle Lowry added 20 for the Raptors followed by DeMar Derozen who added 19. Game 2 will be on Wednesday night.

Blaise Zimmer the Marquette Senior High School Athletic Director stopped in this morning to talk about whats going on in Marquette. Blaise also talked about the Detroit Tigers and his thoughts on the NHL and NBA playoffs.
