Marquette Athletic Director Blaise Zimmer has been a JR and Friends regular every Tuesday bringing us up to date on all the sporting events and news for Marquette Senior High School. In the process we’ve been given a great chance to learn about Marquette’s young athletic director. Blaise brings a lot of fun to the show with his knowledge of sports and other shenanigans. Bottom line, Tuesdays are officially, Blaise Zimmer day.

Monday Night Football between the Philadelphia Eagles and Chicago Bears was interesting to say the least. It was more of a grind this time around for the Eagles but rookie quarterback Carson Wentz showed that last weeks standout performance was no fluke. Wentz, playing in his first away game in the NFL finished 21 of 34 for 190 yards and a touchdown in the Eagles 29-14 victory over the Bears.

The Detroit Tigers have been a team that has been hard to figure out in this 2016 season. They have been up and down all year and at times have looked like a playoff team. They split a series with the Twins and Indians and are currently 2.5 games back for the final wild card spot. The Tigers begin a three game series with the Twins tonight at 8:10 when Tigers Matt Boyd takes the mound against Twins lefty Hector Santiago.
