Marquette, MI – The Tigers had a tough weekend losing 2 of 3 games against their rival the Cleveland Indians. Sunday was a testy win for the Tigers while Ian Kinsler was tested for a concussion. Kinsler was hit in the head by a wild pitch from Trevor Bauer who was later ejected. The Tigers bat came to life and J.D. Martinez sealed the victory with a 3 run homer in the 9th. The Tigers are back at it again when they take on the Minnesota Twins in a 3 game series beginning at 7:05pm.

Jordy Nelson is back but the Green Bay Packer offense isn’t. Aaron Rodgers and the offense can’t seem to get anything rolling these days as the Packers fell to the Minnesota Vikings 17-14 on Sunday night. The Packers offense was gift wrapped many yards due to Viking penalties but couldn’t capitalize. The Vikings were playing the first game at US Bank Stadium and played exceptionally well while led by new coming QB Sam Bradford. The Vikings defense held the Green Bay Packers to minimal offense and Aaron Rodgers fell short in attempt to start the season 2-0. The Packers take on the Detroit Lions next Sunday and if Green Bay expects to win, they have to play better, much better.

The Detroit Lions got off to a 15-3 lead over the Tennessee Titans but offensive and defensive struggles proved to be too much for the Lions as they fell 16-15 Sunday afternoon. The Lions came up short on many drives and tied a franchise record with a total of 17 penalties in the game. Matthew Stafford struggled in the second half and with a minute left and comeback in sight, Stafford threw an interception sealing the Lions fate. The Lions are 1-1 on the season and take on the Green Bay Packers in a NFC North battle Sunday at 1pm.
