
Marquette, MI – 12/13/17 – The Marquette Redmen Hockey team’s game on Tuesday night was cancelled for the second time in a week due to snow. The game on December 5th was scheduled for the Redmen to take on the Calumet Copper Kings has been rescheduled twice and now will take place on December 23rd in Calumet at 7 pm. Redmen head hockey coach Dog Garrow stopped in this morning to talk about the Redmen’s games this past weekend against Warren De Lasalle resulting in a split. The Redmen return to action on Thursday night when they welcome in Hancock at Lakeview Arena at 7 pm.
The Michigan Wolverines got a big win on Tuesday night against the Texas Longhorns 59-52. Muhammad Abdur-Rahkman led the maize and blue with 17 points followed by Charles Matthews who added 12. The Longhorns were led by big man Dylan Osetkowski who dropped 17 points. The Wolverines return to action on Saturday when they take on Detroit Mercy.
The Green Bay Packers received great news on Tuesday night that injured quarterback Aaron Rodgers will be returning from his broken collarbone this Sunday when the Packers take on the Vikings. Packers back-up quarterback Brett Hundley has been in place of Rodgers going 3-4. Rodgers has been officially cleared to play following a series of tests he underwent on Monday to determine if his surgically collarbone had healed.
