Red Wings Back, Pistons Look To Sweep and Redmen Hockey

Marquette, MI – The Detroit Red Wings are coming off the bye-week having made a couple moves to their roster. On Monday the Red Wings re-signed defense-man Nick Jensen to a 2 year 1.6 million dollar contract, avoiding free-agency at the end of the year. The Red Wings last Thursday traded Thomas Jurco to the Chicago Blackhawks for a third round pick. The Wings will be back in action tonight against the Vancouver Canucks in Vancouver. The Red Wings are in last place in the Atlantic Division and look to try and make a run. The Trade Deadline is tomorrow at 3 pm.

The Detroit Pistons are looking to get a season sweep Tuesday night when they take on the Portland Trail Blazers at the Palace of Auburn Hills. The series between the two dates back to the early 1970’s and neither the Pistons nor the Trail Blazers have swept each other in that span. Game time tonight will be at 7:30 pm.

The Marquette Redmen Hockey team look to get a big win tonight when they take on the Escanaba Eskymos in the first round of the playoffs tonight. The Redmen will have forward Luke Beerman back off of injury for the first time in 2 months. The Redmen are looking to build off of the second half of their season and go deep into this years playoffs. The Redmen and Eskymos will drop the puck at 7:15 on Fox Sports Marquette 105.1 and 99.9
