Pistons Finally Win, Lions Play Saturday And Jeremy Stankewitz
- Updated: December 15, 2017
Marquette, MI – 12/15/17 – The Detroit Pistons finally ended their seven game losing streak with a 105-91 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday night. The Pistons were led by big man Andre Drummond who dropped 12 points and added 19 rebounds with 8 assists, 2 assists away from a triple-double. The Pistons also got offense from Tobias Harris who added 19 and newcomer Avery Bradley who chipped in with 18. Detroit led at halftime by 13 and never looked back in the second half. The Pistons now look to the road against the Indiana Pacers, a team they haven’t beaten in Indiana in the last six meetings.
The Detroit Lions will face the Chicago Bears Saturday at home for the second match-up between the two this year. Detroit escaped out of Chicago with a 27-24 victory on the leg of Matt Prater who drilled a 52-yard field goal. The Bears missed a game tying field goal in the closing seconds. The Lions are 7-6 on the season and hope to keep their playoff hopes alive with a victory tomorrow.
Great Lakes Radio Board Operator Jeremy Stankewitz is saying goodbye to the station today as he is moving on to Tennessee. Stankewitz is a lifelong sports fan of Detroit teams. Today Stankewitz joined us for the whole hour talking about his new avenues he will be driving along in the future. We wish Jeremy nothing but the best and thank you for doing such an amazing job here at Great Lakes Radio.
