Ryan Ranguette, Jason Peterson and John Thomsen

Marquette, MI – The Green Bay Packers know that defense wins championships. The Packers will have their  hands full come Sunday when they take on one of the most prolific offenses in the league in the Atlanta Falcons. Green Bay is currently on a 9 game winning streak going into Sunday’s NFC Championship game. The Game will be in Atlanta and starts at 3:05 PM. Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will look to lead the Packers to their tenth straight victory. The Falcons are led by Pro Bowl quarterback Matt Ryan, this is Ryan’s first NFC Championship game.

The Detroit Red Wings look to improve on their winning streak tonight as they get set to take on the Buffalo Sabres in Buffalo. On Wednesday the Red Wings overcame a pair of three goal deficits and ended up coming out of the night with a 6-5 shootout win over the Boston Bruins. The victory capped a great home-stand for the wings going 3-0 against top teams in the NHL. Buffalo is currently last in the Atlantic, the Wings look to gain ground in the Atlantic division. Game time is at 7:30 in Buffalo.

We would like to give a big thanks to Bryce Burge from the Marquette Mutineers for stopping by and talking about the double header this weekend with the Mutineers and the Northern Michigan Wildcats Women’s Hockey Team. Stop by the Lakeview Arena on Saturday, tickets will be sold at the door for $10 and free for children.
