The Marquette Redmen traveled to Sault Ste. Marie on Wednesday for a boys varsity soccer game. The Redmen won 5-1.
First half goal scorers were Max Dawson from Evan Sysko, Ezra Pickard from Jack Sysko, and Ezra Pickard from Isaac Johnson. The Redmen lead 3–0 at the half.
Isaac Johnson scored a goal in the second half with an assist going to Ethan Sandstrom and Ezra Pickard. The Soo scored before Max Dawson finished the scoring with an assist from a Mason Bocklund. Dawson has 35 goals on the year. Goal keeper Edan Hautamaki faced just two shots.
“We are happy with the result today. We executed most of the game plan well. It is a good road win.”
The Redmen are 19-2-2 on the season and host Houghton on Wednesday the 12th for the season’s final regular season game.
