Marquette, MI – January 10th, 2026 – Marquette hit the ice this morning with a chance to remain unbeaten in the T.C. North/South after an impressive 6–4 win over Trenton the night before, but the challenge didn’t get any easier as they squared off against Livonia Stevenson.
The Sentinels struck first when Brody Sheldon buried a five-hole goal at the 5:45 mark of the opening period, giving Marquette a 1–0 lead that held through the end of the first. Stevenson answered early in the second as Dawson Wallis tied the game at 5:28, but Marquette quickly regained the lead when Shelton found the back of the net at 4:09, assisted by Belkowski and Spagnuolo. Despite the Spartans outshooting the Sentinels 11–9 in the second period, Marquette carried a 2–1 advantage into the final frame.
The third period was scoreless, thanks in large part to a standout performance from Marquette goaltender Parker Nevenhoven, who turned away every chance to preserve the lead. The Sentinels closed out a hard-fought 2–1 victory, finishing the weekend a perfect 2–0.
Marquette returns to the ice next Thursday as they travel to Kingsford looking to avenge a 2–1 loss from December 23rd . If you can’t make it to the rink, catch all the action right here on Fox Sports Marquette, 105.1 and 99.9.
