Gwinn ModelTowner Girls Basketball defeated the Munising Mustangs on Fox Sports Marquette 105.1 and 99.9 01/07/16

Gwinn, Michigan– 01/07/16– The Gwinn ModelTowner Girls basketball team took on the Munising Mustangs in Gwinn this Thursday night. It was a fast paced game that left a lot of Gwinn fans in a good mood. Mike James and Justin Beauchamp brought you all of the in-game action on Fox Sports Marquette 105.1 and 99.9.

The first half of the game started off great with the ModelTowner ladies taking the lead. At the end of the first quarter, Tori Lauren, of the Gwinn ModelTowners, scored on the rebound with one second left! The final score at the end of the first quarter was 13-9 with the Mustangs trailing the ModelTowners. The second quarter started to show more of the defensive side to the ModelTowners as they had a lot of great blocks. 22-18 was the score at halftime with the Gwinn girls in the lead!

Third quarter action and the ModelTowners were still in the lead. Tiara Taylor, of the ModelTowners had another great block as the Mustangs tried for a three pointer. 34-20 at the end of the third quarter and the Mustangs were trailing. Within ten second at the end of the game, a ModelTowner made a shot and the score was 48-34 with the ModelTowners taking the win!
