Waterford, MI- June 1st, 2017- It was not a normal day for The Morning Sports Drive. It was a special show where both hosts, Ryan Ranguette and Luke Ghiardi, were both down state at Waterford Kettering High School. Ryan’s alma mater.
The show would go longer today as the two had many guests on with them, extending it an extra hour today. Ryan had his baseball coach from high school, head coach Mike Malley, to chat for the first hour of the show. They were able to listen to some interviews Ryan was able to get at the alumni game he played in the day before discussing the importance to them of their head baseball coach. Then we got to hear from a former player of his, Paul Fry, a major-league player in the Baltimore Orioles system. After the guys got the opinion of coach Malley on the direction of the Detroit Tigers before they touched on the night of the Milwaukee Brewers.
In the second hour they would shift their focus and start with some puck talk. They would discuss the Detroit Red Wings with Ken Kal, the official voice on the radio for the team. They discussed the disappointing season and what is next for the Wings to get them back into the playoffs. After you would hear them give their take on the Stanley Cup Finals before they had a couple more guests on the. The special guests were two students, Bryce Neal and Jennifer Slabough,who were in the broadcast program at Waterford Kettering High School. They all had a nice discussion on their education, the business, and their dreams in the field.
Before they closed out the eventful day we would get their opinions and predictions for the NBA Finals with game one starting tonight. You would hear who they have winning between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers.
