Tigers Win Second Straight, So Long Phil And Vince Young

Luke Ghiardi and Ryan Ranguette

Marquette, MI – 6/28/17 – Justin Verlander struggled in the first inning of Tuesday nights game with the Kansas City Royals giving up three runs, but the Tigers clawed their way back to come out with a 5-3 victory. Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera had a huge three run shot to take the lead 4-3 in the third, J.D. Martinez also added a homer. Tigers closer Justin Wilson came on in the ninth, striking out two as the Tigers picked up their second win in a row.

The New York Knicks and team president Phil Jackson have decided to part ways Wednesday morning. Jackson took over the team three years ago and have not had a winning season, losing 50 games or more each year. Jackson ends his run with the Knicks with a record of 80-166, never making the playoffs.

Former Texas Longhorn quarterback and NFL Pro-Bowler Vince Young had some comments about the NFL and not giving him a fair opportunity. Young, called out a current quarterback playing for the New York Jets, Ryan Fitzpatrick. Young went on to talk about Fitzpatrick’s interceptions and mediocre play and how the NFL pushed Young to the side not allowing him another chance after he was released by the Cleveland Browns. Vince young is now 34 and we once knew him as an electrifying player, now an old beat up quarterback that can’t find a job.
