Marquette, MI – November 9, 2018 – The 11-0 Ishpeming Hematites welcome in the 11-0 Breckenridge Huskies in the Regional Final at Ishpeming on Saturday. Snow will be a factor. Ishpeming AD Terry Roberts called in to talk about the need for volunteers at the Playgrounds tomorrow morning at 8am for a 1pm kick. Jeff Olson also joined the Sports Drive to talk about the challenges Breckenridge presents.
Escanaba and Ishpeming are the only two 11-player U.P. football teams left in the MHSAA playoffs. However, there are three 8-player teams left, two of which are playing each other. This guarantees a U.P. team playing in the Superior Dome next week for a State Championship.
