Marquette, MI – Jose Iglesias finally busted out the hot bat on Wednesday night going 3-4 with a two run homer in the Tigers 6-3 victory over the Houston Astros. The Tigers end their three game losing streak, a streak in which the Tigers compiled only four runs. The Astros struggled all night going 0 for 8 with runners in scoring position. Tigers pitcher Daniel Norris had a solid game giving up two runs on four hits while striking out five in 6 1/3 innings.
The Milwaukee Brewers were greeted by Blue Jays Ryan Goin with a sixth inning grand slam off of Marcus Stroman. The Blue Jays picked up a much needed 8-4 win and their second straight victory over Milwaukee. Brewers Matt Garza struggled on the mound, allowing seven hits and six runs in 5 2/3 innings of work.
