Marquette, MI – 8/25/17 – The Marquette Redmen football team will open up their season on the road this evening against the Traverse City St.Francis Gladiators. The Gladiators went 11-1 last season while the Redmen went 1-8. Both teams coming in this season with veteran teams as neither team has any player lower than a junior. Kick off will be at 7 pm.
The Detroit Tigers were in the midst of a major brawl on Thursday afternoon. Starting with Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera, he pushed the New York Yankees catcher Austin Romine and all hell broke loose. The scuffle led to 8 ejections and three times the benches were emptied. The Tigers eventually won the game 10-6 and are now getting set for a series against the Chicago White Sox this weekend.
