Marquette, MI – 8/3/17 – The NFL preseason gets underway tonight with the Hall of Fame Game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Arizona Cardinals. The game will kickoff the NFL for the 2017-2018 season beginning at 8 pm. Tonight’s match-up will take place at the Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio.
The Detroit Tigers waited three hours and none minutes to resume play against the New York Yankees on Wednesday. The game was slated to start at 1:05 but rain delays put the game in suspension most of the afternoon. Tigers pitcher Jordan Zimmermann had a great outing going seven innings giving up six hits and shutting out the Yankees as the Tigers came out victorious 2-0. Tigers Justin Upton continues to stay hot adding another RBI in the victory. The Tigers will now focus their attention to the Baltimore Orioles.
Mark Stonerock from the UP Health System stopped by this morning to talk about concussions in sports and the Detroit Tigers. Stonerock is an avid Tigers fan and is often seen on the sidelines at all Marquette Senior High School Athletic events. He is also a graduate of Central Michigan University and a teacher among-st his interns. We would like to thank Mark Stonerock for stopping in and talking sports.
