Marquette, MI – The Chicago Cubs pulled the World Series back to even winning game 2 in Cleveland 5-1. Cubs pitcher Jake Arrieta pitched strong carrying a no-hit bid into the sixth inning. Cubs Kyle Schwarber who was riddled with injuries all season came up big driving in two runs for the Cubs. Next up for the Cubs will be tomorrow night when they head home for game number 3 of the World Series with Cleveland. The Cubs will send Kyle Hendricks to the mound against Cleveland’s Josh Tomlin, game time is at 8 pm.
The Detroit Pistons opened up their season in Toronto last night. Raptors DeMar Derozan lit up the scoreboard dropping 40 on the Pistons who didn’t get much offensive help from their big shooters. Pistons leading scorer was Tobias Harris with 22. The Pistons will head home for their home opener on Friday night against the Orlando Magic.
The Detroit Red Wings hit the old dusty trail tonight as they head to St.Louis for a match-up with the Blues. The Red Wings are hot riding a 5 game winning streak and great goal tending from Jimmy Howard and Petr Mrazek. Game time is at 8 pm.
