Redmen Soccer 6-3 Over Kingsford – Ezra Pickard Secures Win

The Marquette Redmen traveled to Kingsford on Thursday for a boys varsity soccer game.

Kingsford got on the board first just three minutes into the game for a 1-0 lead. Marquette then rattled off 5 unanswered goals for a 5-1 halftime lead. Max Dawson got Marquette on the board off an Ezra Pickard assist. Pickard then scored the next three goals with assists coming from Henry Wood, Dawson and Kaleb Chipelewski, and Dawson again. Dixon Poggi finished the first half scoring on an unassisted corner kick goal.

Kingsford made the score 5-2 early in the second half before Ethan Sandstrom put in the sixth goal for Marquette off an Evan Sysko assist. Kingsford scored one last goal with 10 minutes to go for a final score of 6-3.

Marquette travels to Alpena for a tournament on Saturday. The record on the season is 15-2-1.
