The Redmen had a rough start to the weekend with a 58-55 loss to Traverse City Central last night.
This afternoon was a different story.

Commanding is the only way to describe the Redmen lead in the first quarter. Marquette had a 6-0 run at the start of the game.
The Redmen engine was firing on all cylinders as they cultivated a 19-5 lead at the buzzer.
Marquette never quite got back up to the level of play displayed in the opening period of the game, but the victory was never out of sight.
The second quarter had TC West working to get within ten points of the Redmen before the half. They succeeded as the score settled at 28-20.
The Redmen pulled away in the third quarter with a double-digit lead at 41-30.
That’s where Marquette got into just a little trouble.

TC West improved their deficit to 44-37 at the third period buzzer. They made some progress to within four points of Marquette at 52-48 to begin the fourth period.
In spite of this late surge from the Titans, they were never able to make up for the dominant Redmen team of the first quarter.
The top scorers for the Redmen were Marius Grazulis with 16 points, and Raffy Millado and Ethan Martysz with 11 points each overall.
The Redmen will be at home against Escanaba on Tuesday, December 18th on Fox Sports Marquette 105.1-99.9. Pregame starts at 6:45 pm and tip off is at 7:15 pm.
