The Redettes won 46-14 in a redemptive game against the Petoskey Northmen.
The Redettes suffered a heartbreaking 44-42 loss to the Brighton Bulldogs just last night, but you’d never know it the way Marquette played today.

The first quarter against the Northmen started off with an aggressive Redette team. They had a 7-0 lead with just three and a half minutes to go.
Aspen Michelin achieved a double-digit 10-0 lead for the Redettes with a successful free throw and just a minute left in the period.
The Redettes nearly shut out the Northmen in the first quarter, but Petoskey squeezed in a bucket before the buzzer for a 10-2 score going into the second.
Marquette stayed dominant with an 8-0 run to start the second quarter. Petoskey again struggled offensively, unable to improve their side of the scoreboard. The Redettes led the Northmen 25-2 at the buzzer.

With a near shutout in the first, and a shutout in the second, the Redettes returned from the half with high energy. Sydney Kivi was moving aggressively, and a 10-0 run started the third quarter.
Petoskey found a bit of an offensive groove late in the period to improve to 36-9 behind Marquette at the buzzer.
There was no question Marquette would come out on top in the fourth quarter. Petoskey’s offense was a little more lively, but the Redettes did not let up.
Redettes leading scorers were Avery Ledy with 17 points, Sydney Kivi with 12 points, and Aspen Michelin with 8 points.
