Bark River-Harris started things off with a bang. They were able to get base runners early. Bronco Lexi Berg hit a sacrifice fly to bring Ava Arndt home. A wild pitch would bring home the pitcher, Esther Oswald of the Broncos. Nina Bower would reach third off an error, and bring home Olivia Erickson. A wild pitch would bring home Bower. The inning ends with Bark River-Harris with a, 4-0 lead.

The Broncos would pile on a few more runs in the second inning. Oswald would hit in Lauren Zawada. After stealing a couple bases, a wild pitch would allow Oswald to take home.
Marquette would battle back when Lexi L’Hiller would get herself two RBI’s and a double. They would close the gap, 7-2 in favor of the Broncos.
Bark River would blow things open in their half of the third. They would bat around the order and plate a total of six runs. After a Redette pitching change during a bases loaded scenario, the Broncos would bring around two off a Zawada double. Zawada, Berg, Erickson, Ava McDonough, and Amanda Burton would all score runs. The Broncos would close their half ahead, 15-2.
The Redettes would try and rally back by getting Lauren Houle, Paige Hendrickson, and the pitcher Lyndsey Lake across home plate. The score headed into the fourth inning was, 15-6.
Marquette would solidify their rally as a real thing when they were able to bring things back within four runs. Once they avoided the mercy rule loss, their bats really got going. Hendrickson, Lake, Bouchard, Jezewski, and Saari would all cross home plate making the score, 16-12 in favor of Bark River-Harris.

Marquette would bring the score as close as two runs, but just couldn’t get it done in the seven innings. Bark River-Harris walks away from game one of the double header with the win, 17-15.
