Negaunee Resident Elizabeth Hollowell Won Snowdog and Sled at Great Lakes Radio Event

Tracy Frossard presents Elizabeth Hollowell with the grand prize.

Ishpeming, MISeptember 28, 2018 – A line wrapped around the door of the River Rock Lanes and Banquet Center last night as attendees lined up for Great Lakes Radio Snowdog and Cart Giveaway party. At the end of the night, it was Elizabeth Hollowell of Negaunee who went home with the grand prize.

Everyone gathered and took their seats in anticipation of the festivities. Thousands of entrants were whittled down to 374 lucky people who got to enjoy good food and a chance to win prizes. The most exciting of them all, a versatile all-season Snowdog with sled provided by Four Seasons Small Engine of Escanaba.

Great Lakes Radio’s Mike Plourde and Adam Carpenter emceed the event. Mike and Adam thanked the giveaway sponsors and River Rock Lanes and Banquet Center, who provided a festive atmosphere.

Dinner was provided by Mama Russo’s, much to the delight of everyone in attendance. Door prizes were passed out by Amy and Nancy from Great Lakes Radio. The door prizes are provided by local businesses and include hats from Pomp’s Tires, oil change certificates from Quality Car Care Center, a $50 Wood Jewelers U.P. Pendant, a knit hat from the Wooden Nickel, Northern Michigan Waterfall Coasters from Saddleback Photography, and, back by popular demand, Drink Goody Bags! Ten sets of goody bags were given away and each were packed with drink tokens from local bars.

All that good food and fun led to the drum roll moment of the evening. Great Lakes Radio’s big kahuna Todd Noordyk invited Four Season’s Small Engine’s Tracy Frossard to join him in choosing the seven finalists for the night’s grand prize.

But wait! Before the giveaway could commence, the next contest was revealed. Meyer Yamaha of Ishpeming will provide a Drive 2 Golf Cart for next quarter’s giveaway.

Finally, after great anticipation, the seven finalists were given the chance to rip open their envelopes. It was Elizabeth Hollowell who walked away with the Snowdog and sled from Four Season’s Small Engine!

While Hollowell may have won the main prize, the other finalists walked away with fabulous prizes as well. Ethan Weinkauf and Ann Christesen received Swick Home Services Gold Start Certificates. The Great Lakes Fresh Market Gift Basket went to Tim Davis from Marquette. Karen Harvala went home with a Gift Basket put together by Super One Foods and Leanne Mackey won the Tadych’s Econo Foods Gift Basket left.
