Marquette Redmen Moving on with a 5-2 Win over Traverse City Central Trojans

Gaylord, MI – March 7, 2020 – Marquette Redmen had big 2nd period with 4 goals. Then Marquette scored a goal a power play goal to extended they lead over T.C Trojans. Marquette Redmen held on to 5-2 win over Traverse City Central Trojans on Fox Sports 105.1/99.9.
Though the 1st period of actions Marquette Redmen and Traverse City Central Trojans just feeling each other out. With very little shot on goal for both teams. Redmen held strong when they where short handed. T.C Trojans had 14 shots on goals compare to 7 shots for Marquette Redmen. At the end of the 1st period of action no score for either team.
Slow start for Marquette Redmen in the 2nd period. Until Jacob Peterson of Marquette break the tie over T.C Trojans. Then Jake Garrow of Marquette Redmen scores to put Marquette up 2-0 over Traverse City Central Trojans. Gaetano Cammarata scores the 3rd goal of the 2nd period to put Marquette Redmen 3-0 over T.C Trojans. Ethan Phillips scores a power play goal to put Marquette Redmen 4-0. T.C Trojans scores a goal to put them on the board. Marquette Redmen had 18 shot on goals to 4 shot for T.C Trojans in the 2nd period. Marquette Redmen leads 4-1 over T.C Trojans.
Traverse City Central Trojans score goal to get back in the game, now only down 2 early in the 3rd period. Traverse City Central Trojans has put alot of pressure on the Marquette Redmen defense. Ethan Phillips scores his 2nd power play goal of the day to help Marquette Redmen extended they lead to 5-2. Marquette Redmen held on to the 5-2 win over Traverse City Central Trojans.
Marquette Redmen will be back in action on Thursday March 12, 2020 in Plymouth, Michigan. The time hasn’t been determined.
