Regional Champs for Marquette Redmen as they defeated Escanaba Eskymos 5-3

Escanaba, MI – March 4, 2020 – Marquette Redmen had little scare in the 3rd period when Escanaba came out fast on scored 3 goal in the 3rd period. Marquette Redmen hangs on for 5-3 win over Escanaba Eskymos on 103 FXD The Big Game of the Week.

Jack Garrow Marquette Redmen scores the first goal of the night in the opening minites. Halfway though the 1st period of actions Jack Garrow scores his second goal of the night for Marquette Redmen to take 2-0 lead. Marquette Redmen leads 2-0 after one period of play against Escanaba Eskymos. Shot on goal for the 1st period Redmen had 23-2 for Escanaba Eskymos.

Escanaba Eskymos came out with great energy to start of the 2nd period. Putting alot of pressure on the Redmen defense. Marquette Redmen called timeout and Redmen responded with 2 quick goals after the timeout. Cole Ranta scores the 3rd and 4th goal of the night to put Marquette Redmen up 4-0 over Escanaba Eskymos. Shots on the Goal for the 2nd period is 9-6 for Marquette Redmen over Escanaba Eskymos.

First half of the 3rd period has been slow. With Marquette Redmen giving up few penalties to put Redmen in short hand mode. Luke Guertin scores a goal in the 3rd period for Marquette Redmen to put Redmen up 5-0 over Escanaba Eskymos. Escanaba Eskymos scores 2 goals within minutes of each other to cut into the Marquette Redmen lead 5-2. Kyle Krutina of Escanaba Eskymos scores 3 goals in the 3rd period to cut into the lead. Marquette Redmen hang on to a 5-3 win over Escanaba Eskymos.

The Redmen will be back in action on March 7, 2020 at 1 pm when the puck drop and 12:30 for pregame on Fox Sports 99.9/105.1.
