Marquette Redmen Hockey Takes Down Hancock Bulldogs 6-3
- Updated: March 11, 2021

Hancock, MI – March 11, 2021 – The Marquette Redmen hockey team took home a 6-3 victory against the Hancock Bulldogs on Fox Sports Marquette 105.1-99.9.
The first period flew by as the Redmen skated circles around the Bulldogs. Marquette looked relaxed as they pummeled the Hancock goal, taking a 4-0 lead into the intermission. Marquette looked to carry the momentum into the second period and keep the Bulldogs at bay.
The Bulldogs came out with a fresh perspective and an early goal from Austin Salani in the first minutes of the second period. The score settled at 4-1 for a spell, the Redmen still well out front.

Ready to go!
Dylan Baldwin answered the Bulldogs with a beautiful goal to improve the Redmen to 5-1 with eight minutes to go. Though Hancock had a better showing in the second, Marquette ended the period with their four-goal lead and in excellent position to win this battle of rivals.
The Bulldogs scored again in the early going of the third period to improve Hancock to 5-2 behind the Redmen. Hancock continued to battle after a poor first period, but Marquette weathered the storm.
Drew Dellies buried the puck, with help from Joseph Luke, to bring the Redmen lead to 6-2. Brennan Hakkola came up with a massive glove save as the Bulldogs gunned for a chance to stay in the game as the minutes ticked down.
Hancock went six on three in the final minute of the game to bring the score to 6-3, but that was the best they could do against a red hot Redmen team.
Tune in Friday, March 12th to hear the Redmen take on the Houghton Gremlins on Fox Sports Marquette 105.1-99.9. The pregame show starts at 6:30 PM, the puck drops at 7:00 PM.
