First Period:

Marquette came out strong, adapting well to the Olympic-sized rink—a challenge that had tested them in the past. The Sentinels controlled their zone time and defended their territory with precision. Ian Sheltrow capitalized on a power play, delivering a high, hard shot to secure the first goal of the game. Shortly after, Skyler Blackburn doubled Marquette’s lead with a clean, well-placed goal. Though the period started slow, Marquette ended on a high note, setting the tone for the rest of the game.

Score: Marquette 2 – 0 Bay City

Second Period:

Defense was the name of the game in the second period. Both teams battled for control, but neither could break through to score. Marquette’s defense remained rock solid, keeping the puck out of their territory and maintaining their two-goal lead. Despite some near-misses, the Sentinels held their ground as the period ended at a standstill.

Score: Marquette 2 – 0 Bay City

Third Period:

The Sentinels fiercely protected their two-goal lead as the game entered its final stretch. While the Wolves stepped up their offense, recording 12 shots in the period, Marquette’s goalie, Parker Nevenhoven, delivered a standout performance, stopping every attempt with sharp focus. Both teams pushed hard in the final moments, but Marquette sealed their second victory of the weekend with their 2-goal lead.

Final Score: Marquette 2 – 0 Bay City
