Alpena, MI – February 24, 2023 – The Marquette Redmen took on the Lakeshore Badgers on Friday night for the MHSAA Regional Semifinals. John Thomsen was on the scene for Fox Sports Marquette 105.1 – 99.9!
First Period: The Redmen won the opening draw to start off Friday nights game. Marquette got three shots off and finally got it to go in after the third, making it 1-0. Shortly after Connor got his second goal of the season. With ten minutes to go Marquette was up 2-0. Marquette got another goal putting them up 3-0. 17 seconds after the Redmen got another goal. The goals came fast and Marquette scored again. The Redmen scored four goals within 50 seconds. Marquette scored once again to end off the first period. Marquette got 28 shots off during the first period.

Second Period: The Badgers won their first face off of the night. Taylor got the first goal of the period and made it a running clock. Fast after, Marquette got another goal. CJ Carter scored on a power play, his sixth goal of the year. After a quick second period Marquette finished off the night with a win, 11-0.
