Gladstone,MI– December 19, 2022- Marquette goes to battle with the Gladstone Braves live on Foxsports 105.1-99.9!
Q1: To start the game Marquette would win the tip but would go out of bounds immediately. Gladstone would get the ball but a bad pass would have the ball go out of bounds. Marquette would turn the ball back over. Allana Martinez would score first for Gladstone. Marquette would get called for traveling. Gladstone would go back down the court and score again. Redettes would get to free throw line but miss both attempts. Megahn Macphee would score two mid range shots for Marquette. Gladstone would get the ball but would get a jump ball and it would be Marquette’s ball. Marquette would get called for an offensive foul. Lillie Johnson would get the steal for the Braves but would miss the shot in transition. Addy Blowers would get a steal for the Braves but would not be able to capitalize off the turnover. Marquette would get the ball back but would get stolen back as Johnson would hit the last of the quarter.

Pre-GameQ2: Gladstone would get the ball to start the game but would be stolen by the Redettes and would not be able to score in transition. Gladstone would get back on offenses but would get called for an illegal screen. Marquette would get the ball back but would get called for a double dribble. Gladstone would go on a run to take a double digit lead. Marquette would get to the free throw line and would go 1 for 2 from the line. Marquette would go on a run to cut the lead to a 5-point game. Macphee would go to line for 2 free throws and would go 2 for 2 from the line. Marquette would start running a full court press. Gladstone would get called for traveling . Marquette would get up the court quick and would get to the basket with ease. A big bucket by Kyley Elmblad cuts the deficit by one for Marquette. Marquette would get one last shot before half but would not get it off in time.

Marquette would get the steal and Macphee would score in transition. Marquette would go on an 8-0 run to start the half. Gladstone would get the rebound off a miss shot but would get called for traveling. Macphee would go to the line for a pair of free throws and would make both of the them. Gladstone would get the ball back on offense but would turn the ball over off a bad pass. Ott would get a steal and score to give Marquette a double digit lead.

Pre-GameQ4: Gladstone would start the quarter with the ball. Gladstone would get the ball. Addie Trombley would get to the line and would 1 for 2. Now Allana Martinez would get to the line for the braves but would miss both of her shots. Ott would draw the foul for Marquette and would go to the line, she would go 0 for 2 from the line. Gladstone would get the rebound and Addie Trombley would make the 3 on the fast break. Ott would get to the line again after fast break and would go to the line for an and-1 but would miss at the line. Gladstone would cut deficit by 5 points with a minute left. Gladstone would get the ball back and Johnson would make it a 3 point deficit. The Braves would get the final shot but would miss and Marquette would hold off the comeback.
