
Marquette, MI – March 4, 2021 – The Marquette Redmen won going away against the Blue Devils of Sault Ste. Marie Thursday night in Marquette 78-38 to improve to 7-2 on the season. 12 Redmen players got on the scoring column with the offensive player of the game Kam Karp leading the way with 17 points. Ty Lotterman also got into double figures for the Redmen with 15 points. Other players that scored included Connor Johnson (6) Owen Beauchamp (6) David Eberhard (6) Sam Bartlett (5) Brady Wright (5) Truman Langlois (4) Jordan DeMay (4) Mauricio Cardoso (4) John Weber (3) & Justin Jurmu (2).
It was homecoming week for the Redmen and while they weren’t many fans in the stands the dance team was in attendance representing the Redmen student section and performed at halftime. The homecoming court was also announced at the intermission and fittingly Truman Langlois was part of the court as he had the game of his life with several fantastic drives to the basket for 4 points.

The Redmen jumped out to an early lead and never looked back with a 25-10 advantage at the end of the 1st quarter. In the 2nd quarter, the Redmen only gave up 5 points defensively, outsourcing the Blue Devils 19-5 to take a 44-15 halftime lead. The Redmen started the 2nd half strong and led by 38 points before head coach Brad Nelson pulled his starters for the remainder of the game. Marquette outscored the Sault 20-15 to take a 64-30 heading into the 4th quarter. For the final 8 minutes of basketball Marquette outscored the Sault 14-8 for a 78-38 final in favor of the Redmen.
