Marquette Redettes Play Varsity Basketball Season Opener and Redmen Hockey Team Travels to Face Escanaba Tonight

The Redmen suffered a tough loss this evening as the Gremlins took home the 3-2 victory.

Marquette, MI  –  December 3, 2019  –  The Marquette Redmen host their first varsity hockey game of the season tonight. Escanaba is on the road traveling to Lakeview Arena for tonight’s game. Join us on our sister station, GTO 97.5 for the a pre-game show and the full game broadcast!

John Thomsen and Joe Gaffney will be on air this evening with a pre-game show starting at 6:30pm. The guys will talk about the Redmen hockey season so far. The team is currently 3-0 after a sweep during their trip down state and a close win over Houghton last week. The teams will take the ice around 7:00pm for puck drop, starting the full game broadcast on GTO 97.5. You can listen to the game on air or stream the broadcast online from your computer or smartphone at gto.fm.

Also playing tonight, the Marquette Redettes travel for their varsity basketball season opener! The Redettes will be on Fox Sports Marquette 105.1 & 99.9 tonight as the girls take on the Escanaba Eskymos. Luke Ghiardi will be on air to bring you the pre-game show around 6:45pm followed by the full game broadcast. Listen in as Luke introduces the 2019-2020 Redettes Varsity Basketball team for the first time. Last year the Redettes faced Escanaba twice, capturing a win both teams over the Eskymos. Friday the Redmen are back on the ice face Saline at Lakeview Arena. The game will be on Fox Sports Marquette 105.1 & 99.9 at 7pm. Also playing again Friday night, the Marquette Redettes will be down in Petoskey to face Brighton in the first of two games this weekend. Based out the outcome of Friday’s game, the Redettes will play a second team at 12:00pm on Saturday, December 7th. Catch the Friday game on GTO 97.5 with Luke Ghiardi and the Saturday game on 103.3 WFXD.
