Bombs Away Baseball, Mike Plourde And The Silver Badger
- Updated: October 5, 2017
Marquette, MI – 10/5/17 – The MLB Postseason has started out with a bang. Lots of home runs, shaky pitching and nervousness. The Arizona Diamondback bested the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday night 11-9. The Diamondbacks were led by first baseman Paul Goldschmidt who had a three run homer in the first inning to set the tone in the exciting one game elimination. Colorado attempted a comeback in the later innings with back to back home runs from Nolan Arenado and Trevor Story, but it wasn’t enough. The Diamondbacks will now move on to the NLDS to face the MLB’s best team so far this year with the best record in all of baseball, The Los Angeles Dodgers. The NLDS begins tomorrow in Los Angeles.
Mike Plourde stopped in to talk about the Ishpeming Hemitites. Yesterday the school received devastating news as a student had passed away. The game this Friday has been cancelled and will not be rescheduled this year.
Bill Tibor, also known as the, “Silver Badger”, stopped in this morning to make the weekly NFL picks. Bill is an avid Packers fan and is currently in first place after four weeks of football. This week he picked the Green Bay Packers to defeat the Dallas Cowboys and picked the Carolina Panthers to defeat the Detroit Lions, typical Packer.
