Ishpeming, MI – June 4, 2022 – Today was the 9th Annual Iron Range Roll! The race started at Cliff’s Mine Shaft Museum in Ishpeming at 2:00 pm with the sun shining, and excitement in the air! Luke Ghiardi was on the scene to help start the event and send off the racers. The race followed on the Iron Ore Heritage Trail and went down through the Oldtown Caving Grounds in Negaunee, and down all the way to the finish line at the Marquette Commons off Washington Street in Marquette!
The Iron Range Roll is a 16-mile race from Ishpeming to Marquette along the Iron Ore Heritage Trail. Organized by Connect Marquette, the goal of the race is to provide a family-friendly bike race that is safe for everyone and abides by Federal, State, and local regulations. The IRR will also be giving back to the YMCA of Marquette County’s Youth Programs.

The first wave of racers started at about 2:00 pm, with the last wave of racers going at about 2:20 pm. Many volunteers from our friends at Connect Marquette were at the starting line to help hype up the event, and get the racers going.
