Our Team Joins the Annual Softball Game During the 2017 “Catch the Vision” Community Day!

Marquette, MI – August 5, 2017 – The annual “Catch the Vision” Community Day is going on right now at Lions Field Recreation Area. The Marquette Charter Township get together started with our sister station’s team, the Sunny Sluggers and the Township Folk taking the field to kick off the softball tournament. Spectators chowed down on lunch from the food vendors, B Dogs BBQ, Copper Crust Co., and Oscar’s Ice Cream Treats while watching the game. While the result of the game ended with the Township Folk advancing to the next round, it was EZ Stop who came away the champions for the day.
The Law has already showed up to enforce the law on the crazy kids out there today. Children can meet the Marquette County Sheriff’s Department to get their fingerprints taken, voice recordings made, a new photo ID, and a disc to taken home for the parents.
Double Trouble DJ’s brought a giant inflatable pirate ship and space shuttle with live music playing from the stage. All day the little ones are getting a chance to see the new township ambulance along with a display of other emergency response vehicles.
Haven’t made it out to Community Day yet? You can still go and enjoy hours of fun at Lions Field! Daydreamers is finishing out the night right now with live music until 10 pm tonight.
The Marquette County Sheriff’s Department & rescue vehicles were at the recreation area until 4pm, with free face painting ending at 4pm as well. Double Trouble Entertainment’s bounce houses were in the park until 6pm so bring your kid out for some evening fun, grab a snack, and listen to some good music! Don’t forget to bring you lawn chair.
