U.P. Football, Symetra Tour, Alex Tiseo and Tigers Meltdown

Marquette, MI – 6/20/17 – The U.P. All-Star Football week has begun as all the players traveled to Marquette yesterday to meet the coaches and the team they will be playing with. The players and coaches got together for a food drive that benefited the Beacon House during the day on Monday. The media day is next at the Superior Dome tonight starting at 6:45 pm.

The Symetra Tour is gearing up for the big tournament. This will be the seventh annual Island Resort Championship on the 2017 Symetra Tour. There are six total players from the states of Wisconsin and Michigan. We had a chance to talk with former Wisconsin Badger and amateur Brooke Ferrell, today she talked about her life and opportunities in the game of golf.

The Detroit Tigers fell five games below .500 last night with a 6-2 loss to the Seattle Mariners. The Tigers couldn’t provide any offense and the pitching struggled. Seattle Mariners catcher Mike Zunino fresh up from Tacoma had two home runs in the game. Tigers pitcher Francisco Rodriguez struggled as well going 2/3 innings giving up two earned runs. The Tigers continue their series today in Seattle with the first pitch at 10:05 pm.

Marquette Senior High School Athletic Director stopped in this morning to talk about the U.P. All-Star Basketball game that was held over this past weekend. He came bearing gifts, hooking Ryan and Luke up with the All-Star shirt. Alex was able to enjoy his first fathers day over the weekend and we congratulate him on becoming a father.
