Marquette, MI – The Detroit Tigers went into the series with the Tampa Bay Rays with a 8-4 record, the Rays had lost 7 of their past eight games. The Rays found a way to beat the Tigers three straight games while out scoring them 21-9. The Tigers lost yesterday to Tampa Bay 8-1, the Rays pitching staff held the Tigers to just five hits in the contest. For the first time this season, Detroit was swept. The Tigers will now change their focus north as they head to Minnesota to take on the Twins. Tonight Justin Verlander will get the nod going up against Hector Santiago, both pitchers have a 1-1 record. Game time will be at 8:10 pm, the series goes until Sunday.

The Milwaukee Brewers have caught fire while surprising the MLB with the most home runs. Yesterday, the Brew Crew beat the St.Louis Cardinals 7-5 while Jett Bandy, Erick Thames and Travis Shaw all hit home runs for the Brewers. Milwaukee now leads the major leagues in home runs with 32, which is 12 home runs more than the next closest team.

Joey Enright from the Marquette Mutineers came on the show this morning to talk about the hiring of their new GM as well as playoff hockey. Joey is a Red Wings fan and with them out of the playoffs, his choice to win the Stanley Cup is the Boston Bruins. We would like to thank Joey for coming on and talking hockey.
