Marquette, MI – Matt Boyd allowed only one hit in six inning of work while catcher James McCann added a two run bomb to give the Tigers a 2-1 victory over the Minnesota Twins. The Tigers have now pulled even with the Twins with the lead in the central division with a 5-2 record. The Tigers and Twins will play game two of their three game series today at 1:10pm. The
Tigers will send rookie of the year Michael Fulmer to the mound to face Kyle Gibson. Fulmer shutout the Red Sox last week in which the Tigers won 6-5.

The Detroit Pistons season will conclude tonight when they take on the Orlando Magic. Both teams had high hopes going into the 2016-2017 season and both played below expectations. The off-season will be fast approaching and the Pistons have a lot of work to do. Tonight’s game will be in Orlando and game time is at 8 pm.

This morning Joe Gaffney was our guest on JR and Friends. We talked about the Tigers and the Red Wings new arena. We also dove into NHL Playoff Hockey which begins tonight. We went over each round and what teams we believe will win. We would like to thank Joe for coming in a spending time with us this morning.
