The Wings Fall, Pistons Play Knicks, Bill Sall

Marquette, MI – The Detroit Red Wings hosted the Tampa Bay Lightening last night at Joe Louis Arena. The Lightening got out to a quick 2-0 start with goals from Nikita Kucherov and Steven Stamkos. Later in the second period Steven Stamkos left the game with a lower body injury. The Red Wings fought back after being down 3-1. Wings defense-men Ryan Sproul scored his first NHL goal that also came with an assist. Wings Goalie Petr Mrazek stopped 18 shots in the 4-3 loss. The Red Wings are headed to the Nations Capital on Friday night to take in the Washington Capitals.
The Detroit Pistons are headed to New York tonight to take on the Knicks at Madison Square Garden at 7:30 pm. The Pistons will be without Andre Drummond with Aaron Baynes filling in for him at the center position. The Pistons are 1-6 on the road and 5-0 at home. The Knicks have won 11 of the last 13 meetings.
Northern Michigan Basketball Head Coach Bill Sall stopped by today to talk about his 2016-2017 basketball team and the future. Bill also talked about his past playing days at Calvin and coaching experiences he had at Ferris State. The Northern basketball team is 1-1 on the season and preparing to play Minnesota St. Moorhead this Friday at 8 pm.
