The Sports Drive: On the Road
- Updated: May 22, 2019

Marquette, MI – May 22, 2019 – The Iron Bay Restaurant is celebrating its 2nd anniversary this week, and as a part of the festivities, Luke and Mark took the show on the road Wednesday afternoon. This was not only a notable episode of The Sports Drive because of the location, but also because with all of the baseball and softball going on, it was the only time this week that they were able to get on the air. Since they have been gone for a bit, there was plenty to talk about from Iron Bay.
During the afternoon, Luke and Mark were joined by some special guests to talk about all the goings-on at the Iron Bay Restaurant. Joe Constance was the first, and as he is one of the owners of the establishment, he had plenty to say about the activities planned for the week. Restaurant Manager Branden also joined the broadcast to talk about some of the food and beverage specials that Iron Bay is offering all week long.
In addition to the guests, the guys did manage to talk a little about sports. NMU head Men’s Basketball coach Bill Sall has announced that he is leaving the Wildcats to go coach at Calvin College, and Luke and Mark break down why he made this decision and what this means for NMU. Staying in the same vein, another coaching change was in the news recently, with the University of Michigan’s John Beilein leaving the Men’s Basketball program to become the head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Reports now say that Juwan Howard, who had previously been an assistant with the Miami Heat, has been hired to fill the gap. Is this the right move for the Wolverines? Luke and Mark discuss.
