Marquette, MI – March Madness is on to the final sixteen teams of the tournament. Three Big Ten Teams have advanced to the Sweet 16, Michigan, Wisconsin and Purdue. The Wolverines are on fire right now as they have won seven straight games and are considered to be on the best five teams in the country, they will face Oregon on Thursday. The Wisconsin Badgers upset the defending National Champions Villanova in the round of 32. The Badgers went into the tournament as a team who people considered under-seeded. The Badgers will play Florida on Friday. The Purdue Boilermakers defeated Vermont to get to the Sweet Sixteen and could be a dark-horse to advance in the tournament. Purdue will take on Kansas in the round of 16, Kansas is the number one seed.

The Detroit Red Wings fell to the Buffalo Sabres on Monday night 2-1. Sabres Jack Eichel led the Sabres with a goal and a season high 50 points, while Sabres goalie Robin Lehner made 34 saves to lead Buffalo to a much needed victory. The Red Wings will continue on Tuesday as they face to Montreal Canadians.

The Detroit Pistons are looking to continue gaining ground in the Eastern Conference against the Brooklyn Nets. The Pistons will face the next 8 games against teams that are below .500 for the season. Detroit is 19-16 since December and 15-5 against teams with losing records. Game time in Brooklyn will be at 7:30 pm.
