Marquette, MI – The Marquette Senior High School Hockey Team opened up their 2016-2017 season last night taking on the Houghton Gremlins at the Lakeview Arena. The Game was hard fought by both teams going back and forth throughout the game. With under a minute left in the 3rd period, the Redmen pulled their goalie and scored with 6 seconds remaining to take the game into overtime. Less than two minutes in Marquette’s Hunter Doucette scored on a power play goal to lead the Redmen to victory. Next up for the Redmen will come next Tuesday against the Escanaba Eskymos at the Lakeview.

Thanksgiving football is am American tradition dating back to over 150 years. The Lions will be at home against the Minnesota Vikings in a battle for first place in the NFC North, that game kicks off at 12:30 pm.

The second game on Thanksgiving will be between the Washington Redskins and the Dallas Cowboys, that game gets underway at 4:30 pm. The last game on Thanksgiving will come in the evening when the Pittsburgh Steelers head to Indianapolis to take on the Colts.

Las Vegas reviled their team name and logo on Tuesday afternoon. Las Vegas will become the 31st NHL team in the league and will play at T-Mobile arena in Las Vegas. The Team name will be the Golden Nights with a logo of black and gold.
