Pistons Down Lakers, Red Wings Back In Action And Tony Nault
- Updated: February 9, 2017

Marquette, MI – The Detroit Pistons are on a roll right now, now, yes they’re playing teams that are below .500 and struggling but moving up the standings at this point in the season is huge. The Pistons defeated the Los Angeles Lakers at home 121-102 last night at the Palace. Pistons center Andre Drummond finished with 24 points and 17 rebounds followed up by Tobias Harris coming off the bench with 19 points. The Lakers were led by Julius Randle with 17 points. The Pistons continue to move up in the Eastern Conference standings and look to improve their record Friday night at home when they host the San Antonio Spurs.
The Detroit Red Wings will be back in action tonight as they travel to our nations capital to take on the Washington Capitals. The Capitals are on a ten game home winning streak and have outscored their opponents 52-10 in that time. The Wings are coming off a loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets in overtime and look to gain ground in the playoff race. The puck drops tonight at 7 pm in Washington.
Negaunee Miners hockey coach Tony Nault stopped by this morning to talk about the Miners season and whats coming up. The Miners are 5-12 on the season and look to improve their record tonight when they travel to Calumet to take on the Copper Kings. Negaunee is fortunate to have Tony Nault as a coach, Tony has been in the Negaunee area all his life and is connected to the community and Negaunee High School Athletics. We would like to thank Tony for taking time out of his busy day to come on JR and Friends.
